Dr. Cote is an Associate Expert at Risk Sciences International, where she brings world-class expertise in environmental health risk assessment, risk management, and science-informed public policy. She contributes to projects that require strategic application of risk methodologies to environmental, occupational, and chemical exposure issues—often at the intersection of regulation, sustainability, and health protection. Daniel Krewski began his career in the federal government of Canada, focusing on programs within Health Canada, particularly in food safety and environmental health. Trained in mathematics, statistics, and biostatistics, his multidisciplinary background reflects the complex nature of risk science. He later transitioned to academia, founding the McLaughlin Centre for Population Health Risk Assessment at the University of Ottawa. There, he developed new methodologies and collaborated internationally. In 2006, he co-founded Risk Sciences International, aiming to provide expert advice on diverse risk issues. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping risk assessment frameworks used by organizations like Health Canada and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In 2023, Dr. Krewski passed the CEO's baton to Greg Paoli; he remains active as RSI Chief Risk Scientist.

Since joining Risk Sciences International in 2019, Martin has served in Business Development, leading RSI’s business expansion efforts across Canadian and global markets. He is instrumental in identifying and qualifying opportunities, coordinating multidisciplinary proposal teams, developing project frameworks, and supporting contract negotiations. His expertise spans the entire procurement spectrum, including competitive tenders, standing offers, supply arrangements, and unsolicited proposals.

Dr. Shintaro Hagiwara is a Risk Analyst and Statistician at Risk Sciences International (RSI), where he contributes cutting-edge statistical insight to risk assessments, particularly in chemical safety and public health. Since joining RSI’s technical team in 2018 and transitioning to a full-time role in 2023, he has applied his deep quantitative knowledge to building theoretical foundations and developing statistical software. Notably, he created the database-calibrated assessment process (DCAP) and the enhanced value-of-information (VOI) framework to aid in evidence-based regulatory decision-making, both of which have been reviewed by the Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC). His applied statistical work provides assessments and tools to derive PODs for chemicals such as inorganic arsenic and fluoride to support both Canadian and international regulatory bodies.

Dr. Michael G. Tyshenko is a Senior Health Risk Analyst at Risk Sciences International (RSI), where he has contributed since 2018 to some of the organization’s most complex and cross-cutting public health risk projects.
