Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO)

NWMO is a Canadian nonprofit established by the federal government to design and implement Canada’s plan for the long-term management of used nuclear fuel. It conducts technical research, community engagement, and site selection for a deep geological repository. NWMO operates independently but reports to Parliament through the Minister of Natural Resources.
