Security notice

We are a serious company whose work carries real consequences, which is why we place such emphasis on transparency and accountability. At the same time, much of our work is confidential, and in some cases classified. Clients can be assured that RSI upholds the highest standards of security and internal compartmentalization at all times.

Is RSI really a team of scientists?

Yes. RSI is first and foremost a science-based organization. Our team includes toxicologists, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, risk analysts, mathematicians, engineers (including computer science and systems engineers), and medical doctors. Internally, our staff also covers expertise in regulations and policy, economics, sociology, risk perception and communications to address the societal dimensions of risk.  Many of our staff are university professors with extensive peer-reviewed publications and books to their credit. This diversity of disciplines allows us to integrate hard science with policy, practice, and public understanding—ensuring that our work is both technically rigorous and directly relevant to real-world decision-making.

Understanding Risk FAQ

How does RSI define “understanding risk” in its work?

For RSI, understanding risk means systematically clarifying the nature, magnitude, and drivers of risk, along with the uncertainties that surround them. It requires integrating evidence across disciplines—epidemiology, toxicology, engineering, economics, and social science—while also recognizing stakeholder perspectives and institutional contexts. Our aim is not simply to identify hazards, but to illuminate how risks are created, distributed, and perceived so that decisions can rest on a complete picture rather than partial insight.
