Investigating the source

President Biden has announced a comprehensive 90-day review into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic. Previously, both officials and the public have wavered between a conviction that the virus was spread from a laboratory in Wuhan, either voluntarily or by accident, and the more accepted theory, until now, that the virus had zoonotic origins.

Biden has asked the U.S. intelligence community to redouble its efforts to get to the bottom of the issue despite the Chinese government’s refusal to participate in an investigation now being conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva.

It is now believed that Biden’s decision, though only recently made public, was arrived at several weeks ago, as far back as March 2021, based on new information he received.

Biden has further committed, unless the findings warrant differently, to release a full public report in 90 days.
