Today, President Biden announced that the United States had, to date, administered 200 million shots of Covid-19 vaccines. With more than 50% of adults at least partially vaccinated, and approximately 28 million vaccine doses that are being delivered each week. Currently, demand is surpassing supply as the constraining factor to vaccinations in much of the country. It is believed that in the short term, this situation will be reversed and that supply will outstrip demand.
Meanwhile, on the global scene, this number is met by an equally unfortunate reality, that of an alarming increase of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in India.
