Today, the United States reached the grim milestone of having over 100,000 COVID-19 patients in hospital beds concurrently. If divided equally, that would mean 2,000 patients per state ar in hospital. Also today, 2,885 people died from COVID-19 in the U.S. alone. That’s more than the cumulative deaths from COVID in Japan since the pandemic started. It also means that the equivalent of 58 people died from COVID in each U.S. state, in one day.
